2nd and 4th Mondays of the Month - Rosary at 7:00PM, Meeting at 7:30PM

Our council in Greenwood is Msgr. Bernard P. Sheridan #6138. Msgr. Sheridan
became a priest in May 1916, held various positions in the Archdiocese of
Indianapolis and was named to various posts by Pope Pius XII. He passed away
in October 1966. Our council began in February 1969. It was through a move by
various members of Our Lady of the Greenwood
parish who were members at Msgr. Downey Council at US31 and
Thompson Road.
Our council has grown from that original 45 members to 350 at the present
time.
The Knights are involved in a number of various activities for charity,
family and fellowship. Special events are held for the children at Easter,
Christmas and Halloween. Our council arranges blood drives at Our Lady of the
Greenwood
Church. The local, district, regional
and state K of C basketball free throw contest is conducted by our council.
We provide an annual Thanksgiving Dinner which is open to all area senior
citizens - as many as 350 have been fed in our hall. We lead the rosary
before Masses during May and October. Some of the various charities we help
are St. Vincent DePaul, The Glenmary Sisters, Gibault Home in
Terre Haute, Christian
Help, St. Elizabeth's home, Johnson County Special Services (Gateway) and St.
Meinrad.
We at the council would like to invite all Catholic men (age 18 and older)
to be a part of our council. Current members are from Our Lady of the
Greenwood, SS Francis
and Clare and elsewhere.
